you know it's fall when...

  • i dye my hair dark. so long highlights. see you in the spring.
  • the leaves are turning yellow and the weather is cooler. it is the perfect weather to sleep with the window open and get all cozy under the covers. it is also the perfect weather for running.
  • they start selling canned pumpkin. i bought 3 big cans (thank you costco) and i've already made pumpkin chocolate chip bread 3 times (just so you know, i have only kept 1 loaf for myself). check out this yummy and easy recipe. trust me, it's delicious!
  • i bought a pumpkin spice candle and it makes my house smell fantastic!
  • this weekend is general conference! it is where our prophet and apostles speak to us. you can watch it online here. it is always an amazing weekend and one i look forward to. there are quite a few things that i am hoping to receive revelation and get some direction on. i can't wait! i love these words of an apostle from last weekend's conference just for the women,
"Sisters, wherever you are, whatever your circumstances may be, you are not forgotten. No matter how dark your days may seem, no matter how insignificant you may feel, no matter how overshadowed you think you may be, your Heavenly Father has not forgotten you. In fact, He loves you with an infinite love. Just think of it: You are known and remembered by the most majestic, powerful, and glorious Being in the universe! You are loved by the King of infinite space and everlasting time! He who created and knows the stars knows you and your name—you are the daughters of His kingdom....My dear Relief Society sisters, you are closer to heaven than you suppose. You are destined for more than you can possibly imagine."  President Dieter F. Uchtdorf
