hike to royal arch

we decided to celebrate labor day (and no work!) by heading north of denver to go hiking. we decided to hike to the royal arch in the flatirons near boulder. it was a beautiful day...not too hot...although once we got going i was definitely sweating. the hike turned out to be a little harder than we expected (i remember thinking, if this is the "easy" hike i can't imagine the "strenuous" hike. turns out it was the "strenuous" hike). it was a beautiful hike and the view from the top was amazing. definitely worth the effort. it overlooked all of boulder and the surrounding areas and we could even see downtown denver in the distance. it was a great way to spend our day off!
