last weekend we went with my parents to listen to the colorado symphony orchestra. each summer they perform all over the state as part of a free concert series. we packed a picnic (well, stopped at subway), enjoyed a beautiful colorado summer evening and listened to some incredible music honoring america. they even shot off real canons when they played the 1812 overture. it was a wonderful night.
