it's go time

that's actually what our little baby ticker said 2 days ago on my due date. apparently baby girl didn't get the message and she's still hanging out. so tomorrow we are being induced (unless there is a crazy rush of women in labor at the hospital...so help us if that happens. i don't think i could handle it).

tonight when we put logan down for bed i was feeling a little (or maybe a lot) emotional thinking that there's a good chance that the next time we see him will be in the hospital after our little girl is born. that things will be different...never the same again (a good change, but change nonetheless). so we had to capture one last picture of our family of 3 because tomorrow we're "upgrading" to 4!

go mammoth!

last weekend dave and i scored some last minute tickets to a mammoth game (colorado's indoor lacrosse team). we had a great time and the mammoth even pulled off a win (a rarity for this season). i must say, it's funny to watch grown men (the players) fist fight over a game. it does make for exciting viewing though!

i'm posting this picture even though it was taken up at us...up is never a flattering angle!

in other news, tomorrow is my due date. remember how in this post i said my gut feeling was that baby girl was going to come early. well now we know to never trust my gut because it isn't very reliable. i'm hoping the lower back/tailbone pain that started yesterday is an indication she is moving in the right direction and might decide to grace us with her presence soon. i'm keeping my fingers crossed, but not my hopes up (if that is possible).

here's to another night of sleep

every night i lay in bed wondering if there will be any "action" during the middle night. and every morning i wake up, still pregnant. last night as i lay in bed i wondered if baby girl would come during the night and then in an effort to see the bright side of things (and not feel too disappointed in the morning when she still hadn't arrived) i thought about the fact that i would be able to sleep through the night (with a couple bathroom breaks thrown in there) if she didn't come. and i really like sleeping through the night and know those nights are limited (yikes, can i do it again?!), so that is the bright side for every day she doesn't come. one more night of sleep (i've got to focus on something positive because i am too excited and too anxious to meet this little lady and NOTHING is happening so far).

watching elmo videos on youtube is our saturday morning tradition. we bring logan into bed with us, watch video after video and logan is in heaven (and if dave and i are lucky we catch a few extra minutes of sleep). here is dave's favorite (he knows all the words). my favorite video is a separate post because i can't figure out how to post both videos to the same post :(
