when i started this post i was shocked. i didn't think we had taken very many pictures of easter, but i was wrong. we took 115. maybe i have subconsciously been putting off doing this post because i have such a hard time deciding what pictures to use/ not use. so i reverted to my trusty collages. it makes the picture decision process so much easier!
easter morning started off with an easter egg hunt. first it was my turn, collecting starburst jelly beans from around the house and ending with my easter basket (which included the new lady antebellum cd. love it!). next it was logan and dave's turn. i hid plastic eggs around the house that had reasons why i love dave inside (if you ever want cute holiday ideas and decorations or just cute crafty ideas, check out this blog). logan got new books and a lightning mcqueen car. but perhaps his favorite toy has been the easter basket full of plastic eggs. they have provided hours of entertainment!
we were lucky enough to spend part of easter with both of our families. the day was filled with good company, fantastic food, lots of love for logan and wonderful reminders of why we celebrate easter. i LOVED having general conference weekend coincide with easter. it brought such a sweet spirit to the whole weekend and allowed us to focus more completely on jesus christ and his atoning sacrifice and resurrection. i am grateful for the atonement of christ that not only makes it possible for us to live again, but to live eternally as families.
i had to include these pictures, mainly for dave and i's sake. logan has never been much of a snuggler, but over the past few weeks he has started to snuggle more. not for very long, but we'll take whatever we can get! he was tired after a long day of fun and excitement and was willing to cuddle with us (and with his "lovey" blanket). it was the perfect end to a wonderful day!
